I am a CONSULTANT INTENSIVIST & PHYSICIAN with an experience of more than 15 years in Critical Care field. Completed One year RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN INTENSIVE CARE MEDICINE (June 1998-June 1999) under the able guidance of Prof J L Vincent Head of the Department of Intensive Care Medicine, Erasme University Hospital, Brussels Belgium. Completed my MD in Internal Medicine from University of Seychelles American University of Medicine (USAIM) & worked as a TEACHING FACULTY IN INTRODUCTION TO CLINICAL MEDICINE + HISTORY TAKING AND PHYSICAL EXAMINATION in the same institute from September 2005 – December 2006. I worked as an INTENSIVIST for 6 years in Cardiac and Super-specialty Surgical ICU of Breach Candy Hospital Mumbai, later promoted to SENIOR INTENSIVIST ( Incharge of Surgical ICU). I was further promoted as a CONSULTANT INTENSIVIST SICU at BCH. Since April 2002 I am an independent Consultant. I was also attached to Holy Family Hospital Bandra as Cosultant Intensivist and Family Physician. Presently I am a visiting Consultant Intensivist to Breach Candy Hospital & Research center. Prior to this I have worked in Jaslok Hospital as Surgical ICU Consultant. I have also worked in the ICU of Bombay Hospital and Research Centre, and as a Casualty Medical Officer in Sir H N Hospital Mumbai.

Working as a Medical Director of IPC. She completed her MBBS in 1996 & MD in General Medicine in 1999 with 1st Class. She has done her training in non-invasive cardiology at Nanavati Heart Institute, Mumbai. She did her training Advance 2D Echo & Colour Doppler under renowned cardiologist and teacher Dr. R.J. Lotlikar, Mumbai & passed exam with excellent marks in the batch. She has experience of more than 8 years in private practice. She has done more than 3000 TMT and 2 D Echo & colour Doppler with special focus in ischemic heart disease. She has experience in doing stress echo also. She is trained in yoga and presently doing courses in Hospital Administration and clinical nutrition. She is a life member of Association of Physician of India, Indian Society of Electro-Cardiology, Hypertension Society of India. She believes in honest opinion for her patients and strongly believes in preventive health care which are the main focus at IPC.

Dr. Trupti Joshi,

Cardio-respiratory Physiotherapist

She has joined IPC from June 2007. She has passed her Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy in 1991 and completed her Masters degree with specialization in “Cardio respiratory Physiotherapy” in 1994 from renowned institute of G.S. Medical College, KEM Hospital. She has got a vast experience in field of Cardiac Rehabilitation for last 15 years. In initial few years of her career, she was working with KEM Hospital, wherein she got a valuable experience and exposure to variety of patients in cardiology, cardiac surgery and Respiratory units. She got an opportunity to be a part of physiotherapy OPD at KEM hospital, which is well known for its wonderful work in field of rehabilitation. Later being Lecturer at Nair hospital, she has extensively worked in pediatric field and especially in pediatric and neonatal asthma. For Last 7 years Dr. Trupti is attached with a private heart clinic where she is making use of this experience in rehabilitation of patients with IHD / HT/ LVF/ Arrhythmia etc. She has done a Post Graduation Degree in Cardiac Rehabilitation from Chester University at Asian Heart Hospital. Apart from this, she has attended various seminars, conferences and group discussions as a guest lecturer and panelist. She has also contributed towards patient education through various camps. With this background Dr. Trupti has joined IPC to share her knowledge to help patients in attaining their maximal capacities. Multi-faceted approach of IPC to wok on root cause of Heart Diseases fascinates her. The preventive motto of IPC, which aims at improving quality of life, has motivated her to join the institute. She will be a great help to IPC in cardiac rehabilitation as well as in rehabilitation of patients with orthopedic problems like, OA / PA / Lumbar Spond / Cervical Spond etc. This will enable our patients to attain goals jointly set by them and IPC.
